At Ovia Health, it’s our mission to improve the world for women and families. In line with this mission, we’re so excited to spotlight some of the exciting things that have happened for Ovia Health so far this year!
Inclusion in Willis Towers Watson Solution
We’re proud to offer the industry-leading maternity and family benefits solution: Ovia Health for Fertility, Pregnancy, and Parenting. Our solution not only helps women and families live happier, healthier lives — it also helps reduce healthcare costs for employers.
This January, it was announced that Ovia Health has been selected for inclusion in Willis Towers Watson’s new Family and Fertility Solution, which will help employers support all of their employees at every stage of family planning. Through Willis Towers Watson’s Family and Fertility Solution, Ovia Health will continue to offer employers services that start with guidance and coaching for conceiving naturally and continue with pregnancy, postpartum, and return-to-work support.
New Ovia Health Features
We’re constantly working to make our product the best it can be, and in January, we released some incredible new features for Ovia Health. In addition to a design refresh, we also released predictive health coaching and new talent programs to help new parents return to work.
Presentation at The Conference Board in New York City
We hosted a happy hour with our friends at Progyny to kick off the annual Conference Board Employee Health Care Conference. At the event, we were joined by Dow Jones and Willis Towers Watson and presented how employers can prevent maternity costs through technology and what next-generation maternity and family benefits should look like.
Cesarean Epidemic Panel at South by Southwest
Ovia Health’s Chief Medical Officer, Adam Wolfberg, spoke at SXSW with leading researchers and clinicians from Ariadne Labs, Dell Medical School, and The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists about how to use data, design thinking, and mobile technology to tackle the cesarean epidemic.
Advocating for Women’s Health and Working Parents
Ovia Health hosted a webinar with Duke Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine educating women about Hepatitis C and pregnancy. Dr. Brenna Hughes talked about the screening, treatment, and management of Hepatitis C, a condition that affects up to 1 in 100 pregnant women.
In addition, Gina Nebesar, co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Ovia Health, shared the story of how the Ovia Health team discovered that healthcare is failing women, on a micro and macro scale, every day — and what we’re doing about it. She also wrote a piece about how working mothers can advocate for themselves and other parents in the workplace.
Clinical Research on Hospital and Provider Selection
Selecting a provider and a delivery location is arguably one of the most important decisions that a pregnant woman makes. The Clinical Affairs team at Ovia Health worked with Ariadne Labs to complete a study about how women choose providers and the hospital where they’ll deliver.
